'A vital addition not just to the suffragette, but socialist canon': Louise Raw reviews A Suffragette in America
Socialist historian and anti-fascist activist Louise Raw has written a great review of A Suffragette in America for the Morning Star today. In it she has captured the intensity and variety of Sylvia Pankhurst's writing, her searing critique of capitalism and the excitement of the research that went into this book. Conveying the process of research into 'hidden histories' is one of the many joys of Louise Raw's own book Striking a Light on the matchwomen's strike of 1888 so I'm really delighted by this review.
